The Broker - The Short Version
TabTrade launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is broad.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. It does inform your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
